"I have suffered from lupus for 15+ years. I go to Shore Barre instead of physical therapy. I have been to numerous physical therapies, used steroid injections, and have refused to give into narcotics for pain control. Attending Shore Barre with Julie for the last 6 months has amazed my rheumatologist with my increase in my range of motion and decrease in my level of pain. I have never received these results from physical therapy. Missing Barre Class causes my pain to increase and I stiffen up! I am a nurse and my schedule limits me at times from attending Barre, I suffer on those weeks. It takes me at least two weeks to get my pain level down and my range of motion back! Julie's knowledge not only helps me during class, but exceeds outside of class by helping me with proper posture and body mechanics.
